A popular Brookmans Park steakhouse is set to open this week after being closed for just over two weeks due to a fire.

Miller and Carter has stated on its Facebook page: “Miller and Carter Brookmans Park will be re-opening on Thursday, November 16, at 11.30am.

“Food will be served from midday.

“We look forward to seeing you over the festive period!”

Firefighters from Welwyn Garden City, Potters Bar and Hatfield tackled the blaze in Great North Road, on Saturday, October 28, at 4.43pm.

Crews entered the premises wearing breathing apparatus and used a hose reel to extinguish the flames.
