Police attended the scene at Newstead, Hatfield

A MAN has been found dead in a woodland area in Hatfield.

The unidentified victim was discovered by a passer-by at around 11am today (Wednesday) in woodland adjacent to Newstead, south Hatfield.

The body was removed from the woods by undertakers at 2.30pm and police have left the scene.

Police have said his death is not being treated as suspicious.
