A Welwyn Garden City man has been arrested on suspicion of inappropriately exposing himself to a child in public.

It follows reports that a man indecently exposed himself to a boy in an alleyway near Watchlytes Primary School on Wednesday, October 4.

Police linked the incident to another report on Friday, September 29, when a man was seen indecently exposing himself in Herns Lane by a member of the public before making off towards Morrisons.

A police spokeswoman today said: “A 50-year-old man from Welwyn Garden City has been arrested on suspicion of indecently exposing himself and remains in police custody at this time.”
