A lollipop man who was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition following a crash in Hatfield has been discharged from hospital.

The incident occurred in St Albans Road East, at the junction with School Lane, shortly before 3pm on Tuesday, January 30, following which police appealed for witnesses.

A police spokeswoman confirmed the man in his 60s has now been discharged from hospital. She added that it is not being treated as a hit-and-run, but officers are still appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Officers can be contacted via non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 407 of January 30.
