Lanes closed on A1(M) in Hatfield following ‘nasty’ collision

Two lanes have been closed on the A1(M) in Hatfield whilst emergency services are on the scene.

Police received a call at 12.41pm following reports that a red Volkswagon Polo had crashed into the pillar on the A1(M) by junction 3, just after the Hatfield Tunnel.

Lanes two and three are currently closed.

A witness said: “It looks like a really nasty crash.

“They had a cover over the windscreen as well.”
