TV comedian Justin Lee Collins denied charges of harassing his ex-girlfirend in court today (Thursday).
Collins appeared at Central Herts Magistrates’ Court following allegations of harassment, causing fear of violence, towards WGC woman Anna Larke.
Chairman of the magistrates, Doreen Clapper, told the court: “It is alleged that between January and July of this year that you caused Anna Larke to fear that violence would be used against her by your course of action which you knew or ought to have known would cause fear of violence.”
The 37-year-old, who was wearing running trainers and jeans, beneath a checked shirt and tie combination, which itself was underneath a long overcoat, pleaded not guilty.
The Friday Night Project star elected for the case to be tried at crown court.
Collins was bailed until February 17 next year, with the condition he would not contact Anna Larke, three of her relations and any other witnesses.
The Bristolian, who now lives in High Park Road, Kew, London, will reappear before St Albans magistrates on that date for a committal hearing.
