THE mayor of Welwyn Hatfield is inviting everyone to join him at a banquet and ball to raise funds for the Royal British Legion and a volunteers’ charity.
Mayor Carl Storer is hosting the event at Hatfield House which will include a three-course meal, entertainment and a raffle and auction in aid of his chosen charities – the Welwyn Hatfield CVS and the WGC branch of the Royal British Legion.
Cllr Storer said: “This is always a great event because the location is beautiful, the food and entertainment are terrific and we’re raising money for some great causes.
“I really appreciate people digging deep and getting their tickets for what promises to be an entertaining and enjoyable night.”
The ball takes place on Saturday, February 18 and tickets cost £49.50.
The event is open to everyone and takes place in the Old Palace at Hatfield House. It begins at 6.30pm with dancing until midnight. The dress code is formal.
