Man charged over kidnap of woman in Welwyn and man in Baldock

A 50-year-old has been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, robbery, two counts of kidnap, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and without a licence.

James Conners, 50, of no fixed address, has been charged in connection with the kidnap of a woman from Welwyn and a man from Baldock on Wednesday, January 3.

He appeared at Hatfield Remand Court on January 5 and is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on February 2.

He has been remanded in custody.

Police are continuing to appeal for information and witnesses.

They are still looking for two other people in connection with the incidents.
