CARTOON characters Sid and Scrat from the film Ice Age 4 are coming to life in Hatfield to switch on the town’s Christmas lights.
The duo will be making appearances in Hatfield town centre on Saturday 24 November from midday onwards and will switch on the lights at 5pm in White Lion Square.
Other entertainments will be on show throughout the day: Watford FC will be offering a chance to win tickets to a match, and Jack FM are hosting live music and dancing on stage.
The Hatfield Welwyn Community Choir, Emma Cook, a finalist at 3 Music in 2010 and The Ghost of Samantha, featuring songwriter Samantha Grint, who won 3 Music in 2011 will be performing from 3pm.
As well as performers from Hertfordshire’s Got Talent and Jack Gillies, Top Hat choir, and the Savoy Hop, a local Lindy Hop dance troupe will make up the star line-up.
