A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital following a collision with a Mercedes in Welwyn Garden City.

Police received a call at 2.58pm to reports that a pedestrian had been involved in a collision with a car in Howlands.

The ambulance service also attended and took the woman to hospital.

A police spokeswoman said: “The female pedestrian was taken to hospital.

“The car involved was a black Mercedes.

“We closed the road but it was reopened at 3.45pm.”
