Welwyn Garden City boys admit robberies

Two Welwyn Garden City teenagers have both admitted two counts of robbery.

The youths, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Youth Court in St Albans on June 13.

The pair, who are both under the age of 18, admitted robbing two individuals in Hatfield on April 26.

They stole £25 from one person and £5 from the other.

The second defendant also admitted a third charge of carrying a flick knife in College Lane in Hatfield on the same date.

He was referred to the East Herts youth offender panel for 12 months.

He was ordered to pay compensation of £130 at a rate of £5 per week.

The first defendant was referred to the East Herts youth offender panel for a period of 10 months.

He must pay compensation of £100, also at a rate of £5 per week.

The court took into account both of the defendants’ guilty pleas.
