Woman hurt in crash between St Albans and Hatfield

A woman has been taken to hospital after crashing into a tree on a road between St Albans and Hatfield this morning.

Police were called to the scene in Coopers Green Lane at 8.05am today.

A Herts Police spokeswoman said; “There were concerns that she [the driver] was trapped but she managed to get out of the vehicle.

“The car was in collision with a tree.

“It has since been recovered and we have now left the scene.

“Only minor injuries were reported.”

An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a road traffic collision in Coopers Green Lane, Hatfield, this morning at 8.01am.

“One ambulance attended the scene to treat one patient, who was taken to Lister Hospital for further treatment.”

The woman involved in the crash is thought to be in her 20s and was driving a black Citroen C3.
