A Hatfield care home was once again graded ‘good’ in all areas following its latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.

Greenacres in Wellfield Close received the positive rating in safety, effectiveness, caring, responsiveness and being well-led.

The report, released last week, followed an inspection on November 28 last year, during which inspectors noted that all necessary standards were being met.

Inspectors wrote: “People were supported by caring, friendly and respectful staff.

“They were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives, and the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.”

Greenacres, which is run by Quantum Care, is registered to provide accommodation and care for up to 60 older people who may be living with dementia or a physical disability.

Inspectors also found that staff regularly reviewed the care provided to ensure it was delivered in a “person-centred way”, and maintained an effective system to handle complaints.

The service was judged to be well-managed and its quality monitoring processes had helped drive “continuous improvement”.
