THE Making of Harry Potter is the recently opened studio tour not far from Welwyn Hatfield in Leavesden.

It is already proving a popular destination for people from Hertfordshire and is likely to be even more so as the school holidays have now started.

The Warner Bros Studio tour centres on the sets actually used in the filming of all the Harry Potter movies.

As well as the sets to explore – including The Weasley’s burrow, The Ministry of Magic, Dumbledore’s office, Hagrid’s hut and Diagon Alley – the tour features the costumes used, a whole host of props, how the make-up and special effects were achieved, make-up, and lots more.

You can even have a go at ‘flying’ a broomstick!

The Welwyn Hatfield Times was given a chance to see the tour at first hand.

There will be a full report and pictures in this month’s edition of Times Magazine, out tomorrow (Wednesday) with the Welwyn Hatfield Times.
