Members of the public are being encouraged to donate blood in Welwyn Garden City during a visit by NHS Blood and Transplant staff.

The blood donation session will take place on Thursday, September 20, at Woodhall Community Centre in Mill Green Road.

Session times are from 9.50am to 12.30pm and from 2pm until 4.30pm.

A spokesman for the NHS Blood and Transplant team said: “Blood donation saves lives.

“Patients at local hospitals rely on people giving blood.

“Please call 0300 123 23 23 or visit www.blood.co.uk to book an appointment.

“Attendance by appointment is strongly recommended.”
