A girl was taken to Barnet General Hospital after suffering from a head injury in Welwyn Garden City.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called at 3.31pm yesterday to Stanborough Park, Stanborough Road, to a report of a girl who had fallen from a bicycle.

“A rapid response vehicle and ambulance crew were dispatched.

“They treated a girl who had suffered a head injury who was taken to Barnet General Hospital for further care.

“Her condition is not believed to be life-threatening.”
