Four hopeful political rivals will try to dislodge Conservative Oliver Dowden as Potters Bar MP in next month’s General Election.

Officially accepted candidates for Hertsmere in the June 8 poll include Labour’s Fiona Smith, Lib Dem Joe Jordan, Green Sophia Summerhayes and UKIP’s David Hoy.

In 2015, Mr Dowden won the seat with 29,696 votes, with Labour trailing with 11,235, and 6,383 for UKIP and 2,777 for the Liberal Democrats respectively.
