More than 100 women from around Hertfordshire chipped in for Isabel Hospice, which provides support to adults with life-limiting illnesses.

Elizabeth Kynoch and Sue Knight scooped first place, followed by Sue Bradbury and the appropriately named Amanda Pardoe.

Organiser Jan Leggetter said: “We are very grateful to Brocket Hall for sponsoring our day and also to Lexus Edgware Road, who supported us with fabulous goody bags for every competitor.

“We were also supported by a range of local businesses and individuals who sponsored every hole on the course.”

Jan also congratulated Tania Corbett, who plays for a club in Rickmansworth, for bagging a hole-in-one on the fifth hole – just the second in 22 years of the tournament.
