A former Welwyn Garden City pupil of a school that was demolished is hosting a reunion to raise money for MacMillan.

Chris Punter is hosting the reunion for pupils, teachers and staff that attended The Howard School, which then changed its name to Sir John Newsom.

The school was demolished and is now a housing estate.

Chris said: “I’ve held a few reunions and always do it for charity. This year it’s for MacMillan.

“The work they do is amazing and I’m sure we have all been touched by their work.”

The reunion takes place on Saturday, October 7, from 7.30pm until 11.30pm, at the Royal and Naval Club, in Welwyn Garden City.

Tickets are on sale at the venue now and cost £5 which will be donated to MacMillan.
