Five men arrested in Hatfield following robbery

Police arrested five men in Hatfield this morning after a backpack was stolen.

At 4.33am today police were called to reports of a robbery in St Albans Road East and a backpack was taken.

Police arrested five suspects in connection with the incident at around 5.30am on Lemsford Road:

• A 21-year-old man from Watford has been arrested on suspicion of robbery

• A 19-year-old man from Hatfield has been arrested on suspicion of robbery

• A 20-year-old man from Ilford has been arrested on suspicion of robbery

• A 19-year-old man from Hatfield has been arrested on suspicion of robbery

• A 19-year-old man from Hatfield has been arrested on suspicion of robbery

They remain in police custody at this time.
