Lingerie, underwear and swimwear specialist Figleaves Global Trading, which trades as Figleaves.com, was acquired for £11.5m this week, by home shopping company N Brown.

Figleaves.com, based in Broadwater Road, receives around 1.2m visitors to its website each month, and the acquisition will further bolster N Brown as one of the UK’s leading retailers of women’s underwear.

Alan White, N Brown chief executive, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Figleaves to our portfolio of brands and are very excited about this acquisition, which strengthens our position as the UK’s largest online retailer of lingerie.

“It also demonstrates our commitment to continue to expand the e-commerce proportion of our business and to extend our product offers and customer base.”
