Hatfield pupils get their health kick on

Pupils from a Hatfield secondary school got a taste of living a healthy lifestyle during National Healthy Eating Week this month.

As part of Healthy Eating Week June 12 until 16, Bishop’s Hatfield Girls School hosted a Health Festival.

Pupils enjoyed a breakfast buffet, free water, trying new food and smoothies, exercise, quizzes and learning how to plant and grow tomatoes.

The youngsters also got to watch a staff football match, eat free fruit that was available every day, test out unusual food, and watch Ms Nickson and Mr Kench cooking against each other and against the clock.

Goat farmer Paul Grey visited the school with his goats, chickens and guinea pigs so the pupils could enjoy

Welwyn Garden City’s Morrisons gave the school the water bottles, Opus donated the free sports bottles and Sainsbury’s donated £100 towards the Bishop’s Breakfast Buffet items.
