A Welwyn Garden City community group are recycling people’s Christmas trees free of charge until the end of this month.

Digswell Community Gardening Project will be recycling real Christmas trees and all they ask is that you drop them off at their base Digswell Nurseries, on Great North Road.

A spokeswoman for the charity and community project said: “We are encouraging people to drop their trees to us whenever is convenient for them.

“We will then chip them, turn them into woodchip to be used on site, and go back into the earth.”
