Police came across the vehicle on the A1(M) near Welwyn


An adventurous motorist and a passenger were caught “engaging in unsuitable activities” in the back of a van on the A1(M) near Welwyn.

BCH Road Policing said that the vehicle was on the hard shoulder near Junction 6 when officers came across it.

They tweeted: “A1 Welwyn. Vehicle on shoulder...occupants were engaged in un-suitable activities in the rear of the van...driver denied it until his passenger climbed out of the rear of the van holding her trousers up!”

The incident was branded “very dangerous” and suitable advice was given.
