The Welwyn Garden City firefighters will be washing cars this weekend to raise money for two charity.

On Saturday, April 22, the Welwyn Garden City fire service and Mid Herts Explorer Scouts will be washing cars to raise money for two charities.

Half of the money raised will go to the Firefighters charity and the other half to the Explorer Scouts which will help fund the youngsters trip to Austria this year.

Firefighter Sam Firmin said: “It is great to see the fire service working with young people and also to help raise money at the same time in this type of event.”

Bennetts in Welwyn Garden City has supplied the crew with buckets and other items to wash vehicles with for free.

To get your car washed take it to the Welwyn Garden City station on Saturday, between 10am and 3pm.

No set price, but a donation is required.
