Car seized due to ‘dangerous’ driving in Welwyn Garden City

Police have seized a car after it was being driven dangerously in Welwyn Garden City.

In a police message from Sgt Stephen Hynes, of the WGC Safer Neighbourhood Team, he said that the driver was previously issued a s59 warning regarding inappropriate use of the vehicle.

He was warned that if he was caught again, the vehicle would be seized.

In the message, dated Thursday, September 13, Sgt Hynes wrote: “The car was seen again in WGC by officers on patrol, committing various dangerous manouvres.

“Driver reported for various offences and his beloved car was seized.

“He was warned. We weren’t joking. Removing this vehicle may prevent serious injury to others – prevention is key.”
