Car blaze causes delays between M25 junctions for Hatfield and Potters Bar.

A car that was alight on the M25 between junction 23 for Hatfield and junction 24 for Potters Bar caused mass delays after only one lane was left open.

At around 9.30am yesterday Potters Bar and Borehamwood fire services received reports of a car on fire on the M25 clockwise between junction 23 that connects to the A1(M) for Hatfield at South Mimms and junction 24 for Potters Bar.

Crews used one hosereel to put the fire out.

Highways England tweeted that only one lane was left open while the fire service put out the blaze.
