Popular Hertfordshire village festival to take place

A popular bank holiday festival will be back again this year and is expected to attract hundreds of people.

Burnham Green will be holding its annual village festival on the bank holiday of August 28.

The event has previously attracted crowds of up to 2,000 people.

There will be children’s races, a horticultural show in the marquee, pony rides, a funfair, tea tent, plus various stalls and attractions,

Weather permitting, there will be a Spitfire aerobatic display.

Festival committee member Alan Tyler said; “There’s normally an incredible turn out.

“Last year it was very good and the weather was good - the year before it rained.

“What we do is for the village. We raise money to invest back into the village.”

It has been an annual event since 1995.
