Brazen burglars target Hatfield house while occupants are asleep

Brazen burglars got in through the window of a house in Hatfield stealing coats, laptops and cigarettes, while the occupants were asleep.

Police are appealing for information following the burglary in Longmead, Hatfield, between 12.30am and 7am yesterday.

Offenders took items from the kitchen and living room.

Among the items taken were a cordless drill, two laptops, a packet of cigarettes, two black Barbour coats, a blue Nokia 310 phone, a bank card and gloves.

A police spokeswoman said; “Enquiries are continuing.

“This incident is not being linked with any others at this stage.”
