Burglars strike Potters Bar home.

Police are investigating after burglars entered a home in Potters Bar by forcing a UPVC door open.

A home in Elmscroft Gardens was targeted by burglars between 7pm on Friday, December 1, and 2.30pm on Saturday, December 2.

Crooks unlocked the top bolt of the side gate and entered the garden.

They then jemmied open the rear UPVC kitchen door and entered the property.

An untidy search was carried out before leaving the home through the door they entered.

A police spokesman said: “If you saw any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area around the above times, please telephone police on the non-emergency number 101 and quote reference J3/17/1701.

“Please secure side gates properly using a key lock or a padlock - and move bins away from side gates.”
