Police are investigating after burglars targeted a Potters Bar home and stole car keys.

Between 1pm on Friday, October 5, and 4.30pm on Saturday, October 6, one or more offenders broke into a property in Shillitoe Avenue, by forcing a window open.

A police spokeswoman said: “They carried out a search inside before making off in an unknown direction.”

They took a car key from inside the home but luckily the car wasn’t there at the time.

Anyone with information that could assist the police investigation is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary via the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/43659/18 or report information online at www.herts.police.uk/Report.
