Could Burger King be set to open a restaurant in Welwyn Garden City town centre?

The fast food chain is currently advertising for two full-time vacancies at a store in the town on jobs website Harri.

It says it is looking for an assistant manager and restaurant manager, with one year and three years’ experience respectively.

However, any business opening in the town must register with Welwyn Hatfield Council beforehand, and a local authority spokeswoman said nothing had been received.

The advert includes a map, which places the site on the west side of Parkway, just north of Parkway Surgery and the Wetherspoon property.

But it is unclear whether that is a specific location or merely a general spot for WGC.

Burger King has not responded to a request for comment.
