Businesses are being encouraged to help a pregnant victim of an arson attack on her Brookmans Park stables by donating prizes for an auction.

Andrea Clarkson, who owns the stable block Mymwood Paddocks in Kentish Lane, was left “devastated” after arsonists burnt it to the ground on Thursday, July 12.

The horses at the paddock were fortunately unharmed but have all been left facing the winter months without shelter.

Since then a GoFundMe page has been set up and has raised £3,475 which will go towards the £14,000 worth of damage.

A community funding group is also looking for donations from businesses to help towards an online auction in support of rebuilding the stables.

Andrea, who spent years saving for the stables which were only built in December 2017, said: “We have been left devastated by the fire it’s incredibly frightening to think that anyone would do this.

“It’s been very touching to see the help we have received so far.

“I can’t thank everyone enough for the contributions.”

The stables were home to Twiglet, Mika, Lilly, Didi, Mystique, Oakley and Skippy whose ages range from two to 28 years old.
