Masked robber raids Potters Bar’s Ladbrokes at gunpoint

Police have appealed for witnesses after an armed robbery at a bookies in Potters Bar.

At around 4.45pm on Tuesday, July 10, the robber entered Ladbrokes in Kemble Parade, High Street, and demanded that the cashier put money into a bag.

She did so and the offender left. No-one was hurt during the robbery.

A police spokeswoman confirmed that the robber was believed to have had a handgun, and was wearing a mask.

She said enquiries are currently ongoing, and added: “Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time stated is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary by calling the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/16358/18.
