A man was arrested by armed police in Essendon today in connection with a robbery in Ladbrokes.

The 25-year-old from Cheshunt was arrested by officers this afternoon (Friday, February 2), after they stopped a car in Hornbeam Lane, just off the B158.

It comes after Herts Police executed several warrants in connection with a robbery at Ladbrokes in Stanstead Road, Hoddesdon, on Saturday, January 27.

A 23-year-old man from Essex was also arrested today at an address in Slough, and follows two earlier arrests on Tuesday, January, 30, in connection with the same incident.

A 24-year-old man from Hoddesdon was released under investigation and a 26-year-old man from Broxbourne was released on bail.
