A car came off the road in a crash in Hatfield.


Fire and ambulance services were called to a crash in Hatfield.

Two fire crews, one from Hatfield and one from St Albans, were called to a collision in St Albans Road West at 4.21pm today (Tuesday, May 15).

A grey Mini Cooper came off the road after colliding with a lamppost.

Nobody was trapped and the fire crews made the area safe while police closed the road and recovered the vehicle.

The driver was taken to hospital by the ambulance service, and it is believed that she became unwell at the wheel.
