A woman, in her mid 30s, sadly died in Hatfield yesterday evening despite the efforts of paramedics.
An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 7.42pm yesterday (June 26) to reports of someone having severe breathing problems in Oaklands Wood in Hatfield.
“It was a medical emergency.
“We sent an ambulance crew, a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer and the East Anglian Air Ambulance to the scene.
“They treated a woman.
“Sadly despite the efforts of those on scene, unfortunately the lady passed away at the scene.
“Our thoughts go out to her family and friends at this time.”
