Woman dies in Hatfield despite paramedics’ efforts

A woman, in her mid 30s, sadly died in Hatfield yesterday evening despite the efforts of paramedics.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 7.42pm yesterday (June 26) to reports of someone having severe breathing problems in Oaklands Wood in Hatfield.

“It was a medical emergency.

“We sent an ambulance crew, a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer and the East Anglian Air Ambulance to the scene.

“They treated a woman.

“Sadly despite the efforts of those on scene, unfortunately the lady passed away at the scene.

“Our thoughts go out to her family and friends at this time.”

The air ambulance was seen landing on a playing field at Hatfield Community Free School.
