A 47-year-old man who drove an Audi A4 at 110mph on the A1(M) has been fined.

Mikail Huda was driving on the northbound carriageway of the A1(M) when his speed was recorded by Herts Police by means of a follow check at 5.16am on August 2 last year.

Huda travelled at 110mph when the limit was 70mph between Junctions 1 - 2 in the Welham Green area.

His case was heard at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on February 7.

Huda, who did not appear in court himself, entered a guilty plea.

He was fined £334.

He was ordered to pay £33 to victim services and costs of £85.

The resident of Ventnor Avenue, Stanmore, Middlesex, was also given six penalty points.
