A LOTTERY grant has been given to a Hertfordshire-based project which helps children who have a hard start in life.
One Herts-One Family has been awarded £900,000 over the next three years from the Big Lottery Fund’s Improving Futures programme.
The project works with families facing a range of problems, especially drug misuse and domestic abuse.
It is provided by charities Westminster Drug Project and Safer Places, in partnership with the county council. WDP chairman Yasmin Batliwala said the cash would make a “significant difference”.
