Church Road car park outside Sainsbury's in Welwyn Garden City has been resurfaced, with councillors saying they are "chuffed to bits" with the outcome.
Michal Siewniak, Liberal Democrat councillor for Handside, explained that the car park's condition was one of the first issues mentioned to him when he was elected in May 2022.

He said: "Yes, our town and the retail sector as a whole has 'bigger fishes to fry', however we are delighted that the surfacing work has been completed."
Cllr Siewniak and Cllr Gemma Moore first met with the store manager in January 2023.
Cllr Moore said: "We have really tried to engage Sainsbury’s on this particular issue for a long time.
"What a great and much needed outcome for our town."
