Two vehicles have been involved in a crash in Knebworth.

A blue and black Jeep Compass collided with a grey Skoda Superb in London Road at around 8.04am today (Tuesday, April 16).

The road is partially blocked, with emergency services attending the scene.

Long delays have been reported by Hertfordshire County Council, and a woman has been taken to Lister Hospital for further assessment.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "We were called to report a road traffic collision involving a blue and black Jeep Compass and a grey Skoda Superb in London Road, Knebworth.

"One side of the road is currently blocked, officers are in attendance at the scene."

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire County Council added: "Long delays are being experienced southbound due to an RTC (road traffic collision) at St Martin's Road.

A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service added: "We were called at 8.00am to a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on the London Road in Knebworth.

"An ambulance and rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene.

"An adult woman was transported to the Lister Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
