Ludwick Nursery School in Welwyn Garden City is celebrating its fifth successive 'outstanding' Ofsted award.

In a report published by Ofsted in April, inspectors described the setting as “a happy and highly nurturing community” where “children learn exceptionally well together."

Grant Shapps, the MP for Welwyn Hatfield, recently visited the school in Holwell Road to congratulate staff and pupils on their achievement, and to see the service first-hand.

Headteacher Mrs Helen Ackerman said: “At Ludwick Nursery School we are delighted to retain our fifth successive outstanding Ofsted judgement.

"This is a testament to our long-term commitment to early years excellence for children and their families and also for the early years sector, which we support through our training centre.

"We are proud to be a highly inclusive community where everybody is welcome and no child is ever turned away."
