Commuters beware of standstill traffic after there was a car crash and a broken-down lorry on the M25 this morning.

Anticlockwise between junctions 23 and 24, heading towards South Mimms and St Albans, one lane is closed because of the broken down HGV - there is currently about six miles of cars queuing approaching the scene.

This incident is expected to clear by 9.15am, but before then drivers should leave 30 minutes earlier than usual.

On the other side of the road between the same junctions 23 and 24, clockwise heading away from St Albans and South Mimms, there has also been a collision.

Normal traffic is expected by 11am after this incident.
