M25 commuter nightmare with car fire, broken down vehicle and congestion

A commuter nightmare is currently unfolding on the M25 due to a car fire, a broken down vehicle, and congestion.

Both lanes are completely blocked between junctions 23 and 24 clockwise, because there is a car on fire.

The incident is expected to clear between 6.30pm and 6.45pm.

There is also a broken down vehicle between junctions 24 and 25 anti-clockwise - one out of four lanes are closed because of the incident.

That should also be clear by 6.30pm.

Due to the problems, traffic is building, adding to congestion already being experienced by junctions 22 and 23 clockwise.

Drivers along that stretch are experiencing delays of 30 minutes against expected traffic, in standstill queues.
