Drivers should expect long delays on the A1(M) today following a crash this morning.

Between junctions 6 and 8 southbound, there are one hour standstill queues.

The congestion has been caused by a multi-vehicle collision between junctions 6 and 7. It is currently expected to be cleared by 2.30pm.

Traffic conditions are expected to return to normal at 1.15pm.

Herts police are on the scene working to clear the area.
