Herts bus services cut as police warn of treacherous roads

As Hertfordshire bus services are reduced, police are also warning of dangerous roads due to the heavy snow and freezing temperatures.

Bus operator Uno Hertfordshire warns: “Due to the roads being unsafe, we are curtailing ALL services within Hertfordshire.

“We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”

Arriva Herts and Essex is also warning of delays and reduced services.

Herts County Council Highways states: “The weather is making Hertfordshire’s roads much busier than usual.

“Please only drive if necessary, plan ahead and allow plenty of time for your journey.”

Police in Potters Bar tweeted: “Heavy snow with difficult driving conditions around South Mimms and Potters Bar.

“Drive carefully and only if absolutely necessary.”
