Mathew Blease Charity Auction

THE WHT has got TWO tickets for the Community Shield match between Manchester United and Portsmouth.

The tickets have been supplied by Mathew Blease's family to raise funds for a charity in his name.

Mat from Bakers Grove, WGC, died in February aged just 13 of an undiagnosed heart condition and was a huge Manchester United fan.

Parents Karen and Steve, who are both football coaches at Panshanger Football Club, have donated the pair of tickets supplied by Community Shield sponsors McDonald's.

The tickets are worth £80 and the WHT is hoping readers will generously support this opportunity not only to see a top match at Wembley, but also do their bit for charity Cardiac Risk in the Young, which has supported the Blease family.

Chief reporter Kelly-Ann Kiernan said: "The WHT is pleased to help Mat's family raise as much cash as possible through the auction of these tickets.

"Mat's story touched a lot of people and this seems a fitting tribute to him."

The WHT will take bids starting from £80 via the form below or by phone 01707 327551 until noon on Wednesday, July 30.

The match takes place on Sunday, August 10 at Wembley, kick-off 3pm.

The tickets are for entrance to the game only, do not include hospitality passes and travel is not included.

Normal Archant rules apply.
