The super Swede made a huge difference to the Rockets' title run-in after arriving at Rye last August following injuries to Stuart Robson and original replacements Ray Morton and Robbie Kessler.
He made an immediate impact with 11 points in his debut at Stoke and was unbeaten in his home debut against the Isle of Wight.
Ekberg averaged out at nine per match and posted paid 23 across the two legs of the Championship Final.
The good news for Rye House fans is that he's signed on for a full campaign in 2008.
