I find it extremely difficult to answer a question such as this because i got on well with pretty much the whole teaching staff at Brays Grove, but if i was pressured to make a choice it would have to be Mr Roger Smith (history teacher). He is my true inspiration and through his many years of experience and knowledge have encouraged my in my career choice and I am now preparing to start a history degree at university.

Mr Smith is such a great teacher, funny and entertaining as well as controlling the students in his class. I believe he has now retired so i wish him all the best.

I can never understand the praise given to Smith on this site and friendsreunited.co.uk. I found him to be a petty odious little man who humiliated me just because I screwed up ONE homework assignment. I admit I did get it very wrong, but instead of pointing me in the right direction, I got my exercise book torn up in front of the class and a lot of hassle afterwards. Hateful character!

On the positive side, Mr. Crocker (physics) was very good, always like the practical demonstrations followed by the maths of it all - which leads me on to Mr. Edwards (also physics) never the same after his accident, but also remember him selling The Socialist Worker in Town Centre on Saturday. A special mention to Ken Day, always very popular and that rarest of characters; a PE teacher who accepted that not everyone was good at PE!
