Just like to say a very well done to Nathan Smith, all the boys are very proud of him and wish him all the best.

Our players should look at Nathan as an example of what they can achieve at Potters Bar Town with the right attitude and consistancy.

From what I've read in Yeovil match reports Nathan seems to be doing well for them.

To go from playing in the Ryman League Division One North to starting in League One must be a big step up.

I see Yeovil still have to play Leeds United and Nottingham Forest this season!!! So he has some big games to look forward to, if selected of course.

He's been a revelation. A huge step up, but he's shown entirely the right attitude. Worked hard, been committed and displayed no little ability. Quite rightly picked up a couple of MOTM awards, and quickly won over the fans.

Next season will be much tougher for him, as to date he's been a completely unknown quantity for the opposition, but now they'll be studying him and working out his strengths and weaknesses. If he maintains the application and the work ethic he's shown so far, which is a credit both to him and those who've instilled that into him earlier in his career, he'll continue to do well.

Hope the pre-season friendly in recompense is sorted out. If so, I'll be ticking off another ground in Parkfield.

HHH that's great to hear.

Let's hope Nathan continues to improve and makes a name for himself in the professional game.

What are Yeovil's hopes for next season? Has Smith got much competition for his place?

I see Skiverton has signed a new contract, that's gotta be good news I guess?

The obvious competition at left back is Nathan Jones. However Slade has mused about playing them both next term, with Jones pushed forward as a left-sided mid-fielder and Smith tucked in behind as an orthodox left back. We'll have to see who else is signed in mid-field as to whether this plan holds, but I think RS wants to play a 4-4-2 if he can get the right personnel in.

As to how we'll do? I'm fairly pessimistic, and will take another season of survival at this level as success. Think we are right at the limit, at League One level,  of what we can realistically achieve on the club's current income streams. Throw in a reasonable run in one of the Cup competitions and I'll be satisfied. Not sure the majority of my fellow fans will be so accepting of that though.
